PORTABLE STEAM SAUNA
Portable steam saunas, also known as steam pods, or sauna tents, are a very cheap alternative to having a real sauna room, but they still offer many of the health benefits of a "proper" sauna.
How a steam sauna works
- Portable steam saunas are made from a lightweight construction that allows them to be transported easily and assembled and disassembled quickly, easily and without taking up too much space.
- The portable steam sauna uses steam to create the hot and humid environment within the pod.
- The steam is generated by a small power unit that plugs into a mains electricity socket, making use easy in almost any room of the house (or other building).
- The user enjoys a sauna by sitting on a lightweight chair within the sauna enclosure (with the head projecting out of the pod).
- The sauna usually has a zip mechanism that allows the pod to enclose the sauna user completely below the neck.
Once the sauna session is completed, the portable sauna can be folded up and stored away. It is however usually necessary to mop up a small amount of condensed water from the inside of the tent once the sauna session is over.
